Accommodations
A block of rooms with special group rates has been reserved at the Listel Hotel for October 21 and 22, 2010. A fewer number of rooms have been also reserved for October 23. The rooms will be held for conference participants until September 21, 2010.
When making hotel reservations, please be sure to mention the event name, "CDN Econometrics Study Group", to receive the group rates shown below. The rooms are held under the group name, UBC Department of Economics.
Based on single or double occupancy, the group rate of each room on the Standard Floors and the Museum Floors is $120 (plus tax and fees) per night; the rate of each room on the Gallery Floors is $140 (plus tax and fees) per night. A $30-charge (plus tax and fees) per night will apply for each additional guest in the room. These rates will be honored for three days before and after the conference, provided that you stay in the block held for the CESG 2010 conference during the conference period.
Rates are quoted in Canadian Funds and net/non-commissionable and subject to the Provincial Room Tax (currently 10%) and the Federal Goods & Services Tax (currently 5%), a 3.5% Facility Fee and a 1.5% Destination Marketing Fee. (Taxes and fees are subject to change).
